Orienteering 30:00 [3] 3.0 km (10:00 / km) +100m 8:34 / km

Collecting controls at Glen Tanar. Feet were v cold from standing around, so set off running hard to warm-up. Inevitably faffed and missed my first control, and then realised I was supposed to get another that was way back across the stream - doh! Probably as well though as I needed 30' for my feet to come back!
Good session. Pleased with how it all worked out.

Headtorch run round the woods and fields with J. Nice evening. Feeling quite tired although I haven't done much this w/e.

Orienteering 40:00 [2]

Hanging controls for training at Glen Tanar. Out a good bit longer, but faffing and dawdling. Forest looking nicer than I dared hope and snow free already.

X-country skiing 2:20:00 [3] 18.0 km (7:47 / km) +480m 6:52 / km

Back up to the Clash with AT. Awesome conditions - PT out pisteing all the tracks and snow just gorgeous. Explored various side tracks I've never skied before as there's not often enough cover on many of them. Went off track up to timber line on the way back which had a bit of a sketchy descent but nice to get out onto the open hill. Skis were gripping and gliding nicely, noticeably better than ATs fishscales!

Enough white stuff to check out conditions on the Dess loype. DW not too bad down towards Kinker. Then headed up to the fields but spent most of the time walking on skis and much the same back through the forest. Another 10cm would do nicely.

On Aboyne golf course with E. Really nice and getting plenty of glide, especially on the 2nd lap.

With J at the Clash. Snow much better than expected - thin in places but enough cover throughout and really enjoyable skiing. Yay :-)

Orienteering race 1:10:00 [3] 7.0 km (10:00 / km) +200m 8:45 / km

DNC #5 at Potarch. Bit of a snowy night, but fine running in the shelter of the forest. Lost time on no 5 (mis-read contours and dropped too low / short) and 12 (veered off bearing short of control). Not moving v quick but enjoyed it.

Running warm up/down 17:00 [2] 3.0 km (5:40 / km)

On the DW towards Dinnet. Freezing sleet stinging our faces at the start, but thankfully eased off by the end of the w-u.

Running intervals 30:00 [5] 4.5 km (6:40 / km)

5x4'+2' on the DW from Dinnet with J. A bit icy in places so was running down the edge the whole way, but just about got away with forgetting my Icebugs! Solid session, but didn't feel very sparkling.

And hip mobility and glute stuff and a bit of rolling
