GL3D day 2 Expert class. So today was meant to be shorter...
Feet were still v sore in the morning so decided to go for comfort in the Salomons. They felt much better and managed to forget about sore toes for the first 5 hours or so. Took a really stupid direct line up Grasmoor which wasted a lot of energy scrambling through monstrously steep heather. Feeling pretty pooped by the time we headed up Catbells then started to feel footsore. Dropped all the way to Honister Pass then straight back up onto Bradreth before heading for Haystack and the High Stile ridge. Not sure when the wheels fell off, but another end of day brutal descent to Scale Force was not really appreciated for its scenery. Pretty broken by the finish, but relieved at least that others had also been slower than Day 1.

GL3D day 1 Expert Class. Long way. Mostly enjoyable until I started kicking my toes off rocks in the last couple of hours, then the descent to Buttermere was brutal - especially on bruised toes. Forgot to cream up - frazzled.

Note

Wanderings at Linn of Dee am, getting the PC sorted out. Felt pretty weary so decided against forest sprint in the interests of regaining some energy for the w/e.

Tuesday May 1 #

Running warm up/down 23:00 [2] 2.5 km (9:12 / km)

Jog to start of intervals / between sets and back from finish

Running intervals 30:00 [5] 4.2 km (7:09 / km) +50m 6:44 / km

15x1'+1' at GT with DR. First 10 with everyone then jog from second bridge to bottom of hill, then another 5 back round the bottom on my own (to pick up jackets) whilst others went over the top. Good.
