Home from WHW by the riverbank. Quads a bit sore but not feeling too bad for the last few km of the week’s ton. Cold when I set off from standing around coaching at Bellwood, but feet eventually thawed out after 3km

From Inchmarnoch with RB, JS, BS, ME, SR and J. Over the top to GT and Mt Keen track. R was keen for Keen and my arm was fairly easily twisted along with JS and B. Closed in on the top and then endured a brutal facial from horizontal hail stones on the way back down. Kept moving fairly swiftly as was pretty cold and wet by this stage. Climbed back out of GT onto the Pann - not as bad as I anticipated- and then a lovely run down Heartbreak Ridge to finish. Feeling well stuffed by the end but pretty happy with how I managed to hold up.

Nice relaxed spin on a springlike day. Over P'murchie to Tar Rd, Learney, Torphins and back over the top road to Kinker. Over heating!

Couldn't get myself up for DNC at Potties so got a lift along and then shuffled my way wearily home. Monday catching up with me now!

Relaxed potter round Aboyne including a lovely run out west along a snowy river bank. Cold crisp night - faaab. Feeling tired but seemingly undamaged from yesterday’s little trot.

Running 6:30:00 [3] 53.1 km (7:21 / km) +750m 6:52 / km

Route 52 - a km for every week of the year or something like that. From home by the river bank to Aboyne, cross to S side and along to Glen Tanar, over to Deecastle on SDRd, a few km on the road then river bank to near Ballater, through Pannanich, into village and a stop at the Bothy. Then back along the DW to Tullich, path up the other side to Cambus, over to BoV, round LK, and back to Aboyne along the DW from Dinnet. Sunny day but an icy wind and some slippery bits of track early on. Feeling pretty tired by Ballater, but rest, soup and dry socks helped a lot and picked up well through Cambus and BoV. V tired by Dinnet but it was easy to shuffle back along the DW to Aboyne from there. All in all a grand day out!
