Wee loop round some hills south of Corgarff on the way over to marshal LG finish. Legs stuffed from yesterday’s effort, so took it nice and easy. Great little loop though!

Carn Liath and Culardoch from Keiloch with BS, KH and ME. Felt pretty strong and able to push myself on quite a bit of this. Defo an overall effort 4. Run time 15’ or so quicker than the last time we did this loop. Got the clothing wrong tho - bitter wind and really not shorts and tee weather. Glad of waterproofs and gloves!

Coyles of Muick with ME and BS. Worked the climb reasonably hard but could still feel my lungs aching from Tues effort - obvs more of the same needed! Good run though and happy enough with general shape. Lovely sunny evening but with a really bitter wind on top; definitely feeling autumnal and the light was fading by the end too :-(

(rest day)

Another rest day. Generally feeling a bit wappit but not too surprising.

Tuesday Sep 1, 2020 #

Note

Slept much better last night- metabolism gradually settling back to more normal levels!
6 PM

Running hills 24:00 [5] 2.5 km (9:36 / km) +273m 6:12 / km
ahr:141 max:160

First DR session back at GT :-)
1’ reps up towards Baudy Meg with 1’ recovery. Think it was 12 but not with it enough to keep count. Nasty shock to the system- both legs and lungs! Great to be back tho and fab to see lots of folk again.

Running warm up/down 38:00 [2] 6.5 km (5:51 / km)

Jog to bridge then back from top of hill after reps
9 PM

Stretching 10:00 [1]

Bit of an effort but needed

Note

Recovering pretty well from last week’s antics. A few tender spots in calfs and back of knee but nothing that shouldn’t settle. Aggravated nerve issue in my foot over the last couple of days, probably from wearing Inov8s but needed them for the grippiness on the rock. Had hardly noticed it the rest of the week. Otherwise just tired - fair to say that the intensity level dropped off a fair bit as the week wore on!
11 AM

Road cycling 1:08:01 [2] 24.58 km (2:46 / km) +340m 2:35 / km
ahr:117 max:155

Recovery. Out to Tar Rd via Lumpy and back by Pmurchie.
