West to east traverse of Beinn Dearg Bheag & Mhor then back out to top of the Coire Hallie path. Headed from bivvy spot along the south side of Loch na Sealga, then climbed to the foot of the north west ridge of BDB. Recently brought to my attention as a nice route onto the mountain, and it didn’t disappoint, with lots of rocky lumps & bumps that led eventually up to the summit. Easy descent to the col then a big slog up onto BDM, but ground it out chasing after JS & it was soon over. Superb rocky ridges leading off in various directions from the summit. Having eyed a line from the other side of the valley, we descended easily into the southern coire. Found a couple of really unusual gorge like fissures near the base of the coire which don’t show up on the OS at all. Pleased to nail a line from there avoiding the buttresses to descend towards the valley and back to pick up the bivvy kit. Then it was just a long slog back out. Clagged in a bit after a beautiful start to the day, but back before any rain set in. Another cracking outing :-))

Corrie Hallie up to the path junction over to Shenavall. Misty & so so humid. About as much pushing as riding, but will be worth it for the return.

Fisherfield big 6 with JS. Belter of a day out :-)) Mist slowly lifted as we headed in to Shenavall, but still a lot of cloud around the tops. Headed in an a-c direction, starting with Ruadh Stac Mor (#280) - following the GWC climb to the high point, then fairly directly up through the coire & onto the top. Steep descent to the col before A' Mhaighdean, then as we climbed the sun started to break through and really lovely by the time we reached the summit (#281). What a location! Has to be one of the best 360 vistas from any Munro :-)) Easier than expected grassy descent to the col below Beinn Tarsuin. Bit of a slog up the other side but then a lovely section of scrambly ridge leading to its summit. Steady climbs over Mullach Coire Mhic Fhearchair (complete with a totally tame snow bunting on its summit) & Sgurr Ban, then new territory again along to Beinn a' Chlaidheimh. Managed to find a sensible line off the west side after back tracking a short way down the ridge & back to Larachantivore where we had left our overnight kit. 9h 20m total time on foot to here. Able to sit around outside all evening with a gentle breeze keeping the midgies at bay, tho they did put in an appearance later, making for a slightly uncomfortable bivvy buried in a midgie hood, full body cover & over-warm sleeping bag!
A cracking circuit which has been on my to do list for ages. Good company too, tho struggling to match J’s pace!

Pleasantly surprised to feel lively enough for my planned long tempo session. From Dinnet, w-u via Clarack cp to the DW (16’) , then 25’ tempo along the DW to Cambus (dairy), jog over the top & down to BoV, over towards LK then another 2km tempo back towards Dinnet. Grovelled to round it up to 15. Planned to dunk the legs in the loch but there were mozzies everywhere- nightmare! Another good session :-)

Seven Hills of Dess. 16’ w-u then 8:34, 6:34, 6:30, 6:10, 6:16, 7:50, 7:22 or thereabouts, uphill efforts with jog down recoveries. Started on DW up from the bridge then continued clockwise round the hill on different climbs with each finishing at the top. Managed to run it all except for the second half of the ski run - might need to start with that one next time! Tough lil session - had planned to jog back to the pond for a dip at the end, but was too knackered for the extra distance. Pleased with that :-)

Sports therapy session with EM. Back much improved :-) Feeling better for getting the s-i joint unblocked again; just wish I could keep it that way!

Chill cycle round Auchenhove then up to Tarland rd, east towards Learney, Sundayswells & back over P’murchie. Beautiful day. Again :-) Couldn’t resist a wee push over P’murchie - leg strength is there, but good to keep it mostly chill for recovery purposes.
