Chill jog round Auchnerran with J. Hoping this might loosen me up & get me moving a bit better in the evening. So lovely round here - both the woodland & farmland. Several curlew, a heron, a hare & skylark.

Urgh that felt dire! Social Tom’s Cairn loop with ME, SP & BS. Went c-w for a change, so downhill from the start at the monument, but never got into it & shuffled my way round, walking much of the climb. Tuesday intervals coming back to bite! Hopefully will feel perkier again tmrw.

Very chill paced catch-up ride with JN. From Tarland over to Cushnie, then back by Bouties / Migvie etc. Legs were definitely noticing the hills, but feel better for the exercise. Glad I had plenty of kit on, tho could have done with the booties too! Good chat & a guided tour of the community garden at the end :-)

DR @ GT. Extended w-u then 16x1’ +1’ on the road / track over to SD. Properly gutted myself on this tonight with HR barely dropping to 160 on the recoveries. Good that the body feels strong enough for the thrashing, but can’t afford to do this too often! Will be interesting to see how everything feels tmrw…. Cracking turn out & never even got a chance to speak to the front half of the pack!

Little Assynt with J. Eyeing up the detailed rainfall forecast maps to try and grab a weather window which worked out rather successfully. Aim was for an easy-paced trot but keen to try and hold some decent form. Pleasantly surprised that the legs were working reasonably well, perhaps helped be earlier mobility work. Couldn’t resist pushing the climbs a bit - they’re just short enough to hang in there - so ended up as a bit higher effort than intended. Good feels though :-)
