A good A2B hash from Bracken Tor Youth Hostel. The first loop took us out onto the Moor which, given the wind and rain, was pretty rough, but fun in a sadistic way. Eventually, we dropped down to Belstone and then down to the path beside the railway, and ran along there to the first beer stop at Okehampton Station.
The second section took us on a brief tour of Okehampton before heading across the golf course and back to the railway and along to the Meldon area, with the second beer stop at the reservoir car park.
The final section was back out on the moor - the rain had now stopped, but it was windy and foggy, so a new challenge. We ran around the Sourton Tors area, which absolutely must be mapped for orienteering!....even in those conditions, it looked awesome!
We eventually headed off the moor, for another stretch along the old railway before arriving at Point B, which was the Bearslake Inn at Lake.
On the whole, especially given the conditions, I was pleased with my running today!
