Orienteering race (Richmond Park Night-O) 56:09 [3] 7.93 km (7:05 / km) +68m 6:48 / km

My orienteering was actually ok, few slightly scrappy bits but it was night-o. Quite pleased. Less pleasing however, is the pain in my bum :(

Calculated lost time 2 1/2 mins - mainly bit scrappy on 3 & 10, bit of relocation on 9 (ran on bearing knowing if I missed it I'd hit the edge of wood, which I did). 11 I ran past being daft, and 15 maybe should have continued straight rather than going up hill after Andy Robbo.

Went to physio. Despite doing exercises I'm worse than I was 6 weeks ago. Loosening it off hurt, a lot. So, less running (I am still allowed to run though as long as I "think glutes" the whole time) and then just 2 exercises to do twice a day:

Clam, making sure I don't twist and the right muscle is working (hand on bum) 10*10s
Hip Flexor, concentrating on really pushing under rather than forward. 3*30s

Orienteering race (Cambridge City Race) 55:06 [4] 9.67 km (5:42 / km) +20m 5:39 / km
shoes: Saucony ProGrid Ride

Nice race, legs a bit leaden (hungover) and hamstring/bum sore. Not quite as tricky as last Cambridge race but enjoyable nonetheless. Road got closed off because of a bombscare blocking optimum route to one of the later controls meaning I lost a couple of minutes fighting my way down the high st.

Made some silly mistakes here - coming out not on the road I thought I was then not checking direction enough. Especially annoying when it was bits of london I know really well (Exmouth Market up to Pentonville Rd). Spent too long at the far west, don't know what I was thinking really, then had to leg it back in 15 mins. Was 2 mins late. Throat sore and more sore now.
