Mountain Biking race (Kowalski Classic) 4:50:00 [4] 50.0 km (5:48 / km)

First proper MTB race, in the Kowen Forest in ACT. Around 90% single track so pretty tough going. Seeded myself at the back which then was a total fail when they let the 25k race go straight after us and kept having to stop to let 20 super quick kids past me.

I am super slow and a total wuss but I overtook people going up hills which made me happy and ended up finishing right behind another orienteer. Back super sore though

28th woman, out of about 35 - less than 10% of the race was female.

Glen didn't hit any trees.

Running race (Albert Park 5k) 25:04 [4] 5.0 km (5:01 / km)
shoes: Adidas Adistar Boost

Always said that doing parkrun in the evening from a pub would be a good idea and that's basically what this club do.

Ummed and aahed about going as had had a rubbish migraine earlier on but decided fresh air might do me good.

Could do with a warm up rather than walking from the pub.

Happy with the time. Was a guy ahead of me from about 1k, finally got him at 4 but he stayed on my shoulder an made me sprint finish (I won!)

Should do this again - good tempo session and a friendly bunch of people
