Loop around the park - should probably have left this a day. Legs were super tired from riding and was all a bit of a struggle

The first time I've ridden by MTB since Aus Champs. Was a bit nervous about riding as various things say not a good idea because of risk of falling off, but I figured that on the easy trails of Lysterfield going steady the risk was very minimal.

I went out thinking I might just pootle around for half an hour but though I was very slow was actually enjoying myself and riding ok - would quite happily have ignored the 75 min curfew and just gone for a slow ride round the whole single-track loop.

In the end I didn't actually do too badly - did manage to ride straight past a control though.

Just did a route that meant I got to run round the reserve, think it was ok distance wise. Nice evening out for a run.

Jog around the Yarra, slow but felt ok. One loo stop. Spotted Martin Kozma going the other way (well he spotted me) - according to Strava he'd had a pretty decent hit out round the tan.

It was such a nice evening for running that I persuaded James we should go out (this may have replaced unpacking time). Took him down my favoured trail by the river then sent him on an extra lap so he could go a bit faster before meeting me at dights falls. Went back over the top to the Yarra.

Tried out Liis's running belt, seemed to help thought downhill is a bit uncomfortable.
