Training Log Archive: jayne

Fun sprint in Carlton Gardens. Started with David Jaffe and Kate so had a bit of competition but couldn't quite keep up but then went to 14 off the pivot rather than 11 so lost it, finished 40 secs down on David. Defo could feel the biking in my legs.

This was fun! Started very steady as 75 mins sounded loong then suddenly it didn't seem long at all! Went slightly wrong near start but prob ended up better, prob shouldn't have bothered with 43 as slow down and up hill, time saved might havr allowed getting a couple nearer the end. Still, hills are good for me.

Another saga. Started ok, should have gone round rather than up down 17-20 (can't believe James took pram up there) and prob shouldn't have bothered with 17.

Right near the end decided to take route through reserve (because it was the shortest). Gate was shut where i entered but not locked. Map doesn't actually show a fence at all the other side and didn't really think anything of it. Heard some weird noises going up the hill and then kangaroos sped across me, so decided i didn't want to be in there any longer than i had to. Got to gate the other end, tried to open and it was padlocked. Len came up and climbed fence. I didn't fancy spiky things. Damian and Rosie joined me and we decided to go back down and round. Roos were really freaking out at this point and it wzd actually pretty scary. We figured by fence safest so went round boundary. Got to bottom, gate we'd come in now locked. Not really sure what to do. Geoff stopped to take a picture... Eventually Vic managed to get gate of hinge and create enough gap for us to crawl out but i was in there about 20 mins.

Still got 11 on the way back. From my log i should have finished in about 34 mins.

Bit of a saga arvo. Booked swim with mum's group and Stanley for 3. Tried and failed to get him to nap at 2, gave up and put him in pram to walk to pool, he duly fell asleep. Got there, realised I'd left swim bag at home, said hi to folk then walked back, still asleep so didn't want to drive back, walked back. He slept another half hour! Got him in for about 15 mins splash then his dad came (late) to take him home so i could swim. Cut short at 18 lengths as session ends 5.30 but there didn't seem to be anyone suggesting i get out, thought i shouldn't push it.

Kensington Street-O. Fun area even with the street-o map, still had to concentrate. Somehow managed to read ahead s control so had to go into the flats i was planning to avoid, prob wasted a minute.
