Flemish champs relay
Result: 5th place as 1st leg runner

Technically it wasn't a good race (lost 5 minutes in total). Already towards the 1st control i lost 30seconds. Then i pushed hard and at the 6th control, i was in the lead again right behind Wouter Leeuws and Pieter Hendrickx. But then Pieter and me made a big mistake (3') and lost many places. In the end i finished in 5th position together with Wouter Foppen. (1st Wouter Leeuws, 2nd Pieter Hendrickx, 3rd Yannick Michiels and 4th Gunther Deferme).

Again an irritating pain in my right knee (bursitis). I had this problem also 2 months ago. After the weekend (probably on tuesday) i'll go to the doctor and ask for a cortizone injection again..

I only played football at school with the students (sportsday).

My legs were still tired and sore, so i ran only series instead of 4. Wouter ran in the lead (and the wind) whole the time. Also Niels and Tom joined group 1.

After every 800m we only had 200m jogging-rest (1'30). Then we ran 400m fast again, followed by 800m easy jogging (6'15).

We always run 2km in the sanddunes at a higher speed. Today i ran it very easy, because of the tough weekend.

I took the short way back to the clubhouse at a very easy speed again. It was a good recuperation training (i needed it for my sore calves).
