Dutch champs relay - Aarlesche Heide Oirschot

Distance gps: 6.82km
Result team: 3rd

Our first runner Wiet Laenen ran a good race and finished in 1st position and 2 or 3 minutes ahead of the 2nd runner. But because of a wrong control number and a control at the wrong place, he lost several minutes twice. Our 2nd runner (Herman Janssen) lost some places (like expected) and finished 4th; 4 minutes behind the leader.
I started as 3rd runner and tried to push hard in the beginning. Sergey Fedotsenko was 200-300m ahead of me whole the time untill the 7th control. I never saw him punching controls and i didn't succeed closing the gap. At the 7th control i lost 30sec and then he was out of my sight untill the 14th control. Here i saw him again, but i made a mistake towards the 15th (45sec) and then a big stupid mistake. I ran from 15 to 17th, and when i punched the 17th, i realised my mistake. I lost at least 3 min here and was together with Winston then. We ran together untill the 2nd last control and here i had a shorter forking. So i finished in 3rd position (because Sergey was disqualified).

Cyclo sprint classic - HeusdenZolder: http://www.sport.be/cyclingtour/cyclosprintimescla...

Today Winston and me participated at the cyclo sprint classic. We took the shortest distance (85km) and started at an easy speed (26km/h average during the first hour). Then an other cylcer catched us up and we followed him. When we accelaretad he had to let us go. Then we came in a more hilly area (Keiberg, Letenberg, Borreberg) and aftewards along the canal back (here 37-38kmh). The last 40km we drove in a nice group and had an average speed of 33km/h. Along the canal i had much difficulties to keep up with the group (Winston was stronger). On the climbings i was among the best of our group. I think nobody passed us during the whole trip.

I uploaded a route on my garmin to test it, because in july i'll go to France for 10 days cycling (close to the MontVentoux). Today i did a part of the 'Trappistenroute' at easy speed. This week will be mostly cycling to avoid injuries.
