Square dancing (plus) 15:00 [1]

At B&Bs. 7:40-9:30pm

run (road) 28:43 [3] 4.0 mi (7:11 / mi)

11pm. Lee-Graham-50 route. Only 4 1/2 more days of this and I will have done the whole marathon at my planned pace. I see that my level 3 workout is only an easy level 2 for Ken. Guess I should not plan on beating him at the highlander. 8)

Square dancing (basic) 15:00 [1]

At Boomerangs. 7:30-9:30pm

run (road) 29:14 [3] 4.0 mi (7:19 / mi)

11:30pm, Lee-Graham-50 route. Plan to start marathon at 7:20 mile pace so figure I should work on the pace. Was going to do track workout but there was a football game.

Tuesday Oct 2, 2001 #

run (road/trail) 1:06:50 [3] 8.7 mi (7:41 / mi)

3pm, Work - Lake Accotink. Still need to remeasure the course. Was running 7:40 pace when passed by W.Springfield HS XC team. 2 miles at 7:20 pace with them before we went different ways.

Note

Shin splint injury from 9/2 seems to be all better but my training has suffered. Had planned for 40 mi/wk for the 4 weeks of sept but averaged less than 20. To late to put the distance in now since the next 5 weeks all have major races. (Highlander, Army 10mi, ROC A-meet, Marine Marathon, DVOA A-meet.)

Sunday Sep 30, 2001 #

orienteering (red) 1:14:08 [4] 6.31 km (11:45 / km)

DVOA: Horseshoe, MD, red. Ran well with a bunch of 1-2 minute errors. Hills and rocks were good training for Highlander. Definately need some hill work. Splits are posted.
