run (warmup) 10:05 [1] 1.0 mi (10:05 / mi)

Warmup on road before Daniel Boone A-meet. Have not run all week so no idea if I have recovered from marathon. Feel ok but sluggish and my ankles hurt. Bigger problem is I have a cold and my throat hurts.

orienteering (red) 1:10:58 [4] 6.57 km (10:48 / km)

DVOA: Daniel Boone Homestead, redX course. Had hoped to have lots of energy after all that rest but could not generate much speed. Orienteered ok, lost about 5 mins on 4 & 10 when I did not see the bag in the green. Right place each time.
Splits are posted.

Square dancing (plus) 20:00 [1]

8-10pm. At DoPasO in Lancaster with Iolanthe. Only an hour away from Daniel Boone and Io and I stayed in Lancaster.

Square dancing (plus) 20:00 [1]

At BandBs. 7:30-9:30pm.

walk 2:00:00 [1] 2.0 mi (1:00:00 / mi)

Trick or treating with Io in Lancaster. 6-8pm. I know it is not much of a workout but it has been a slow week. Dressed in a box and a variety of vent pipes and ducts made walking difficult. I was the tin woodsman and Io was Dorothy.

Note

Power outage while working late last night messed up the alarm system so I could not set it and leave. Spent the night there.
By the time I got my halloween stuff ready tonight, I was to sleepy to run so again no workout.

run (road) 15:10 [1] 1.5 mi (10:07 / mi)

6:45 am. Jog to subway station.

run (marathon) 3:41:14 [4] 26.2 mi (8:27 / mi)

Marine Corp Marathon, Arlington Va, 8:30am. Trapped in crowd early, ran well in middle, slowed at 16 1/2 and died horribly at the end. Had convinced myself I could go 3:20, but appears that more than 30 miles/week training are needed. Splits 17:23(2mi), 7:54, 7:55, 7:39, 7:25, 29:17(4mi), 7:25, 9:11 (incudes 2:01 pit stop), [1:42:08 at half], 14:02(2mi), 7:18, 8:01, 8:33, 8:38, 11:39 (includes 2:36 pit stop), 8:25, 9:02, 10:46, 10:18, 11:28, 9:58, 1:34

walk 31:06 [1] 1.5 mi (20:44 / mi)

3:30pm, Should have driven to subway this morning. Walked home.
