run (road) 1:45:06 [3] 12.27 mi (8:34 / mi)

DCRRC SLR: 8am. Temps finally above freezing. I was overdressed. Still snow and ice on most of our routes so just ran from IwoJima to Hains Point, 2 loops and then back. All three bathrooms on the point were closed which killed my pace for the last 3 miles. Went from sub 8 to over 10 min miles.

Square dancing (rounds) 45:00 [1]

At Eum Paw Paws. 2-5pm.

run (track,snow) 39:00 [3] 4.88 mi (7:59 / mi)

DCRRC track workout cancelled because track was not cleared and lights were off. I did not know so went anyway. 7pm 31F, One lane was clear about 1/2 way rest snow and ice. Ran laps with Tom Nowicki. Did not count the laps, just assumed 8 min pace.

Square dancing (basic) 20:00 [1]

At Boomerangs 8-9:30

run (warmup) 25:26 [1] 2.31 mi (11:01 / mi)

Custis trail 19F. Warmup before race, 13:03, cooldown after 12:23. Checked out part of the course. Seemed to be clear of snow so decided to go with normal running shoes instead of O studs.

run (race) 53:12 [4] 12.0 km (4:26 / km)

DCRRC Custis 12k. 10am, 19F before the race, mid 20s after. Course was changed from last year to use different start. New section was slick snow and ice. My warmup run was misleading as 1/2 the course was snow and ice covered. Should have worn my studs. Felt I ran well but had trouble on the slippery sections and the times were slow. Hear the course may have been short also. Nadim and Peggy were there as well. Nadim finished well in front of me, Peggy behind.
