run (road) 1:37:46 [2] 10.3 mi (9:30 / mi)
shoes: Saucony Grid Shadow

DCRRC SLR. 8:15am. Back to some training. Of course I was late again and had to run by myself but at least I got some mileage. Iwo-Jima, Memorial Bridge, Zoo and back. Course could be longer than advertised, I was hurting and very slow by the end but think faster than 9:30 miles. I can only go 70 minutes before falling apart.

Square dancing (rounds) 50:00 [1]

At Eum Paw Paws. 2-5pm.

Square dancing (plus dbd) 35:00 [1]

At Strutters and Stompers 8-10pm.

Square dancing (plus dbd, rounds) 35:00 [1]
slept:13.0

Better today. At Dixie Stars 8-10pm. Had planned to run later since it was still warm but it got late, I got lazy and my knee still hurts from falling in the fissure sunday. The sticky dance floor tonight put some strain on it while turning.

Although I have been an orienteering M45 all year, today I officially reach 45 for road racing. Now I can recalcuate all my goal times to the new age group.

Note

Could not take advantage of the nice weather. Got a headache in the afternoon and not only did not go running, was forced to skip dancing as well.

EMPO Halloween Howl. Thatcher SP. Not a very good day. but most of the time lost was on #3 and #9 in the same part of the map. Stepped into one of the fissures on the way to 3 and banged my knee pretty hard as well as destroying any confidence at running thru the rocks. Took a SPW stopping to help Tom S. and Eric R. after Gari had a heart attack on the way to #16. Posted time is without the 56:30 spent there. Last 5 controls run with Tom.
Splits and comments are posted.
