MCRRC Turkey Burnoff 10mi. Seneca SP MD. 10:05am. Had always wanted to do this race but never had the free time before. Wish I was in better shape. Thought about taking it easy and running 7:30 miles but got carried along for the first mile so tried to hang on to 7 min pace until I died. Over 7:30 for the 2nd half anyway. Splits 6:39, 6:59, 7:24, 6:55, 7:30, 7:00, 15:21, 7:16, 7:38. Rolling hills made the splits very erratic as I slowed appreciably on the uphills. Must have been a lot of people dropping out as I was 39th at 1.3 miles but still 44th at the end even though I lost places most of the race.
Slower than the 71:55 at the Army 10mi a month ago but this was a harder course. Also felt good after this race instead of sick after that one.

Warmup before the race. Temps were cool, but sunny

At Eum Paw Paws. 2-5pm. Cha-Cha in the beginner class, Slow Two-Step in the intermediate.

7:30 -10:00pm.

Had hoped to get in some miles (5) at the Turkey Trot where I was working the finish line. Started to rain so I skipped prerunning the course as I often do.

At DBD 8-10pm. 7-8 was caller class. Other student not there so I had to call the whole hour and no dancing. The three singing calls I practiced while driving around this weekend came out ok.

At Advanced Class and Capitol Squares. 7-10pm.

Harvest Moon Festival Sunday session. 9-11:30am. Partners from last night could not stay so danced with Io and the youth square.
