run warm up/down (trail) 21:38 [1]2.4 km (9:01 / km)
shoes: Integrator03
Jog to start of day 2. Walk was listed as 2.7k. Jogged until 1/2 way up the last hill. Stopped watch and walked the rest.

US Champs Day 2: Dutchman Flat, RedY. 9:36am. Started out ok but missed 4 and lost time all over. A little mistake here, some walking there and suddenly you are 20 minutes (and more) behind. Dropped to 10th in M45. Should have finished in mid 90s which would have kept me in 8th.

Saturday Aug 27

run warm up/down (trail) 15:50 [1]2 km (7:55 / km)
shoes: Integrator03
Warmup before orienteering. Some in the parking area, jog to start and checking out the finish

US Champs DutchmanFlat OR. RedY course. 11:56. Ok run considering recent lack of O practice. Could not seem to spike the controls and had to relocate in the circle repeatedly. Only really blew #9 when I tried to speed up and missed the control low. Much better in the 2nd half and no problems (except slowness) in the 1:7500 section at the end. 7th in M45 but 13 min out of the medals.
other (disc golf) 30:00 [1]1.0 mi (30:00 / mi)
shoes: other
Two rounds on the 9 hole course at COCC. Much easier course than yesterday. Playing as par 4 for each hole I was +4 and +2, good enough to be last (of 7) each time

other (disc golf) 30:00 [1]1.0 mi (30:00 / mi)
shoes: other
Disc golf with Ted on course near Gresham OR. Very challenging course with lots of thorns. Ted and I each lost a disc. Supposed to be par 3 for all holes. I played it as par 5, Ted as par 4. Spent a lot longer than expected (or the posted 30min) but a lot of the time was looking for discs in the blackberries. Berries were good.
run warm up/down (trail) 29:51 [3]4 km (7:28 / km)
shoes: Integrator03
Mt Batchelor OR. The 2k jog to and from the model event start. 13:52 there, 15:59 back.
orienteering (model) 31:07 [2]*** 2.4 km (12:58 / km)
shoes: Integrator03
Model event at a comfortable pace. Includes running around to check out various terrains and features but stopped the watch when not running.

Thursday Aug 25

run (road shoulder) 36:33 [2]3.5 mi (10:26 / mi)
slept:4.0 shoes: Saucony Grid Shadow
A easy run to loosen up after the flight from Baltimore to Portland. From the Travel lodge in Wood Village to the Columbia river and back. Actually just until I could see the river, I skipped going thru the parking lots and boat ramps.

Monday Aug 22

Square dancing 30:00 [1]
shoes: Rockport
At Capitol Squares. 8-10pm.
