Stayed out way to late last night so slept in instead of getting up for a long run. Only had time for the usual 4 miles. 9:05, 8:44, 8:31, 8:05. Used the MP3 player again and went with the square dance music this time.
Decided it is time to start losing all the weight gained last fall. Should be below 170 and it has been around 180 since Christmas. I find that the Gagarin is an inconvenient unit since I think I am around 1.32G and trying to get down to 1.25G. A Valerie seems much more logical for me as it was around 172 the last time I checked and getting lower all the time. If I can get below 1 valerie, I should be fine.

At Eum Paw Paws 3:45-6:15. More Jive in the intermediates then reviewed the Rumba we learned last week in the advanced class.
Skipped any dancing in the evening to see the Sound of Music at a local church.

Never got as warm as I expected during the day and cold front was moving in so I wimped out on running and read newspapers instead. Have to do some cleaning at my place and always start with the papers and laundry.

11pm. Watching Yojimbo on dvd. Had a lot more movie than biking but I got off the bike when I started to get hot. Spent the rest of the movie on the couch.

At Advanced 7-8, plus DBD 8-10. Have not gone to this tuesday dance in a long time, choosing instead to have a night off to work late or spend time with Bev without dancing. With WASCA festival coming soon with a full time DBD hall, need to get in some more DBD practice. [Not for me :) , Bev is worried she will have trouble keeping up]

11:15 pm. Warm night, and I want to get back into some kind of regular workouts. Lee Graham 50 route. Still feeling the effects of the weekend so slow. 9:28, 9:07, 8:49, 8:25. Used the new MP3 player again, need to load it with a wider selection. Only have Al Yankovic and some square dances so far. Went with Al.

At Capitol Squares Practice. 8-10. We have demos coming up at WASCA in March and VASRDA in May and need the practice.
Not completly wiped out from the weekend but did not try to run at all.

RRC 10mi Challenge. Columbia MD 8am. Very hilly course. Did not need this race to tell me how out of shape I am but it sure drove the point home. Had trouble getting up on time and barely made it to the race in time to miss the start by 39 sec. Not a problem since I planned to go slow anyway. Just had not planned on as slow as I went. Very stiff at the start but figured I would warm up which I did by 1 mile. Then got tired by the 3rd mile and was fading by the 4th. Yesterdays bathroom problems were nothing compared to today. Would have welcomed a portaJon or even some nice woods anywhere in the last 6 miles. Temperature was around 30 but strong winds and my slow speed combined to freeze me in the 2nd half. May be my worst 10 mile race ever. The mile markers for the race were apparently placed at random and I missed many but here are the splits anyway. 9:44, 3) 13:57, 5) 17:47. (41:28 at 5mi), 6) 10:58, 7) 11:07, 9) 26:49, 10) 13:37

Ran 65:07 in this race in 02 and an out of shape 70:24 in 04.
