Cooled off with 6 holes of disc golf. Finally broke par. Birdied the first two holes, hit the basket on a long birdie attempt on 3, then threw the drive on 4 into the woods. Ended up -1, much better than the 2 over on friday.

Event: QOC Mont Alto

orienteering (blue) 2:29:10 [3] *** 7.8 km (19:07 / km) +265m 16:21 / km

QOC/SVO Mont Alto. Another hot, hilly, rocky day at Mont Alto and I ran as bad as usual. Still it was nice to be in the woods and I definately need some sort of training. Ankle seems to be ok although I was very careful in the rocks after some pain when stepping on a stick early. Tanked the middle of the course when a minor trail jct error (I blame the old map) put me on the wrong side of a deer fence, then the area I crossed to get back on track was partially logged (but not mapped that way) and then I screwed up when I got close to the control anyway. Eddie B did the course in 65 so you know the problems were all mine.
