run (road) 11:19 [1] 1.1 mi (10:17 / mi)
shoes: Saucony Grid Shadow

A short run in the morning. From the Roadway Inn on Richmond Ave toward Colonial Williamsburg and back. Had hoped to get to the old part and use the restrooms there and head back, but was clearly not going to make it that far without a restroom so just headed back after 5 1/2 minutes.

Richmond Fall Festival. 10am - 11pm. Smaller lunch break but skipped the afternoon stuff to visit with Bev's daughter. Also had the Capitol Squares demo around 7:30. We have looked better.

run (trail, road) 42:05 [1] 4.5 mi (9:21 / mi)
shoes: Avia

4:30 pm. Stomach was hurting again. I wonder if a hard racewalk shakes loose kidney stones or something. Not to bad but just an annoying reminder that there is something there, probably should do some core work. No doubt I will get right on it after I start my specific O training, which I will get started on after I get enough running in feel like I am in shape, which never seems to happen.
Anyway, feeling crappy but it was a nice day and I wanted the break from work, so off to Burke Lake. Thought I would run a mile, stop at the restroom, then run back and play some disc golf. Just before the turn around, somebody was catching me so I did not want to stop there so kept on going. Ended up doing the whole loop and feeling much better by the end. Even caught the guy who had passed me 2 1/2 miles later. (10:21), 9:53, 8:52, 8:21, (4:37)
Did not skip the disc golf. 6 hole challenge between my normal Shark disc and the new Cobra I am trying to get a feel for. Shark won easily with a personal record 3 under par while the Cobra was much improved from last week at even par. No trees were hit and all drives were good. Putting was off as I missed 2 easy putts with each disc; probably because I do not putt well when I keep switching discs. Means that a 5 under for the first 6 holes is possible.

PVTC Hour Walk. Oakton HS. 9am. about 61F. Wanted to beat the 10k distance that eluded me 4 weeks ago. Went out faster and held on as best I could. 1600m splits. 9:14, 9:22, 9:25, 9:36, 9:32, 9:29. 10222m beating the 9.9k in Sept and 10193 from last year. Finished first by over 2 laps but since this is a postal race, I won't know how I really did until the results are mailed out sometime next summer.
