| Phase V Figures Class, Foxtrot. 8-10pm. Covered about a third of the 37 phase V figures. They were all new to us so my head was spinning by the end. I hope I actually retain some of what was taught. |

| Today marks the start of the holiday eating season. Probably should have started around Halloween when I got into the candy but today was the pot luck Thanksgiving feast at work. Official weight at the start of the holiday eating season was 181 (G+42) this morning. Not good when my goal is to stay below 180 and I am already over it. Plus I will be eating macaroni & cheese for the next few days. That's what I took to the feast and if I am going to the trouble to make real macaroni and cheese, I will go a bit farther and make extra for myself as well. I checked last years entry and was at 180 on Nov 16 at the start of the eating season so at least I have not gained during the year. But I was 177 in 2005.
After stuffing myself and doing a bit of work, rolled over to Burke Lake to pretend to exercise. Still in mid 60s but supposed to get cold and rainy tomorrow. Temperature was already dropping at 4pm when I went. Normal loop but pretty slow since I was so full. (9:39), 9:54, 9:50, 9:55, (5:17).
Usual 6 holes of disc golf afterward. Worked on putting using my two putter discs. Did not keep score since I did each putt 3 times. Picked up a new Shark this morning at Sports Authority but chose not to use it. Hard to get much putting practice if you are always close to the basket. Used the Raven which is much more unpredictable. |

| Burke Lake, 2pm, 60F. Nice day after it stopped raining. (9:04), 9:09, 9:13, 9:23, (5:03)
Six holes of disc golf afterwards. First time without my Shark disc that broke last week. Used the Cobra and set a new personal record of 4 under. Almost had 5 under as the last birdie putt hit the basket but was a little low. Guess the Shark was not so special after all. Still I expect to replace it if I can. |

| DVOA Long Course champs. Red course. Ridley Creek SP. Lots of green on the map so much of the course was route selection among the trails and roads. I should have done a lot better at finding the controls instead of all the little mistakes I made. Also not that fast on the roads or trails. Was being careful with the foot hurt last week but it felt ok. Decided to pick up the pace after 9 and promptly tripped so slowed back down. Missed a trail jct on the way to 10 and missed seeing the circle for 13. Ran right by it on the way to the finish and had to run back after realizing the finish code did not match. Not a great day but I got the training I wanted and I came to the meet partially so I could go visit Iolanthe at Bryn Mawr after I was done. |
