QOC: Greenbelt Red course. First real orienteering since the Stumble in Nov. Ankle was ok but, it is amazing how many times you twist is just a little while running. Did not notice anything with the left ankle but the right was sensitive to any stress. Bigger problem was total lack of fitness and no thickened skin on my feet. Blister on the back of the left heel slowed down the pace even more near the end.
Lots of problems with navigation as well with major time lost on 7 (short and did not see control behind some downed trees), 9 (short) , 15 & 16.

Finally got out for a short run. Torrence loop around the neighborhood. Then off for a hair cut and a few hours at the office to get the work done that I could not get done while wasting 3 hours in meetings yesterday.

Warm day today (high 40s) so I went outside to enjoy it before it gets cold again tomorrow. 6 holes at Burke Lake. 2 under with 176g shark. Threw very well even after a 2 month break from disc golf.

Note

Just another day at work. I stayed away from downtown and did as little traveling as possible to avoid all the inauguration traffic. I have only been to 1 inauguration (Nixon/Agnew) and planned to skip this one. Plus I have a tone of work anyway.

Need to start running again. Can not use the ankle as an excuse anymore. I got used to not running and it is hard to make the time again.
