QOC Meadowood - Green course. Nice to be out in the woods again. Not a great day orienteering however as I finished somewhere in the middle of the pack. I took the wrong shoes and had the Olway shoes that give me blisters on the back of my heals - which they did. Some good legs, some bad legs and one horrible one when I changed my route to avoid a trail that was supposed to be closed. Ended up following the wrong stream, making a parallel error and ending up as far from the control as I had been when I started. After recovering and relocating, I still could not find the bag until the 3rd approach to the same area.

Overflow parking for the event was at a school on the other side of the map so I had a nice trail jog to get to the meet site. What was not so good was I got a head start on the blisters from wearing the wrong shoes.

Picked up controls on a loop near registration. Walked the whole way.
Should enter these while they are fresh in my mind so I can remember the time and distance. Do not have the map with me now so remember nothing.

Still had to get back to car after everything else. Very tired so took the road which looked to be shorter. Also hoping I might get a lift from a passing orienteer. Not that many left by the time control pickup was over so had to walk the while way.
