MetrO (Mandurah novelty rogaine) 3:55:00 [3] 17.0 km (13:49 / km)
shoes: trabuco 14

First hit out with the new shoes - pretty happy with them. Got blisters, but they're from my socks slipping down rather than from the shoes.

Fairly pleased to mostly keep up with the younger members of the group for the first half and then felt like a big meanie pushing them along for the second half.

Lost 2 of the original 6 to end up with one team of 5.

Fun day out with lots of giggles.

Note

Doctor says inner-ear virus and likely to continue feeling seasick for a few weeks yet. She jiggled my head around in various ways to make a diagnosis and I got a solid dose of the dizzies which hasn't fully cleared up yet.

Blood pressure much higher than my normal - actually made it above 120/80 (got 127/77) but I'm way stressed, so not really surprising.

Heart rate was 58, so RHR is probably lower again.

slept:10.0

Been sleeping for Australia recently.

This morning I did actually manage to wake up at 6am, but instead of making a panicked dash to the pool, I just pootled around the house playing "Who's a dog? YOU'RE a dog!" and "I've got your paw. No I'VE got your paw. No you can't have it, because I've got your paw." until he finally fell over on his side and said "Bahlees! I am now traumatised about not owning my paw, but I am reasonably certain that the paw I do not own belongs to a dog, which I could potentially be. Ow my tiny brain hurts."

Then I did the outstanding bike clean from Saturday afternoon, made my new pan nice and shiny, hung out a load of washing and swept the floors while my cat and dog inconveniently sprawled about shedding fur.

Life good :-)

Roughest consecutive days at work pretty much ever. Had to work very hard to keep the impulse to really flog myself under control. I can't produce enough endorphins to make it all better. Especially without smashing my knees and hips.

Swimming (club) 1:00:00 [3]

Felt fine this afternoon and swam well. FElt a bit tender doing breast-stroke and chose not to do the 100m breast-stroke race, but kicked along OK for the 100m IM. Note, in Masters swimming land, 100m IM is 25 fly, 25 back, 25 breast, 25 crawl. Not 100m of each :-)

Only a little woozy turning from fly to backstroke and did no tumble-turns so ... we'll see. If I have a woozy again on Wednesday morning swimming, we can call it cold water.
