The plan was for a major training day at Lac Philippe but...
The access road going through the middle of that map was washed out in 3 places in the park and flooded outside of it due to the 90 mm of rain yesterday. We drove over the first flooded area only to be told that campers at the Lac Philippe campground were being evacuated by boat since the small bridge you need to cross to get to the campground was washed out. After waiting around figuring out what to do and waiting to meet up with Stefan and Alex (they we're further up the road on the far side of the flooded area) we relocated to P17 for a trail run.

Ended up running with some ultrarunner (never got his name but he was training for the Death Race, often trains with some lady named Laura, has Ray Zahab...) who was around km 28 of his 50 km run and is doing another 35 km tomorrow. Anyway, good fun!

Loop on the bike to loosen up after the time trial yesterday. Went South and circled around Barrhaven with 8 little fartlek accelerations in the middle. Got a flat tire ~11 km from home. Grr... The one day I didn't bring a spare tire with me too.

Grr.. This was distinctly a Colin meet. I usually try not to complain too much but I felt like I was gambling half the time I looked at the map. The 'trail' by the river I took from 3 to 6 didn't actually exist, a large number of the control circles weren't centred, the vegetation between 8 and 9 was... I'm not even sure what (I should have taken the trail around)... a couple of the controls were misplaced... I could go on.

Anyway, it was decent run and I lucked into having no problems with the misplaced controls thanks to someone coming out of one of them and because I happened across the other one on my way to the actual feature.
