Running 16:45 [1] 3.0 km (5:35 / km)
ahr:142 shoes: NB 801

Running intervals (12x200 reps) 23:43 [4] 3.2 km (7:25 / km)
shoes: NB 801

12x 200 reps in the rain. It was really pouring for the first few. I did these faster than I was planning on (and faster than I probably should have too) so I'm surprised I was able to maintain 37 seconds for almost all of them.

Running warm up/down (cool down) 11:00 [1] 1.64 km (6:42 / km)
shoes: NB 801

I've been feeling a bit tired and stressed this week with my cousins wedding tomorrow that I've had to help a lot with and leaving on Sunday for Calgary and helping my mom put and event together. Needed to get out and clear my head.

My plan is for short easy runs tomorrow and Saturday and then 12x200 reps on Sunday before leaving in the afternoon.

Biked to and from the doctor's office today for a checkup. It's been roughly 3 years since I last went and was another three years between visits before that.

Last time I was told that I had gained weight but in my case it was a good thing... given that I was 18 and hadn't seen her since I was 15 that makes a lot of sense.

This time I was the first patient of the day and after a whole bunch of questions like
do you have a good family? do you get support from your family? "yes and yes"
how much exercise do you get a week? "6-8".
"I normally ask for 3 or 4 one hour sessions a week from 22 year olds..."
do you eat healthy? "yes"
how much do you drink? "roughly a drink every couple of weeks"
do you smoke? "no"
drugs? "no"
pot? "no" (while thinking to myself ... isn't that a drug... that you smoke?)

She thought I made a very good start to the day since she didn't have to admonish me for anything at all. I also asked about my hrm giving funky readings. She thought I meant low readings then continued to tell me that while running I should expect heart rates of around 140... I don't think she realised that I'm training seriously not just jogging.

Some metrics from the nurse:
rhr=49 (the nurse did a double take and checked my hr by hand to confirm against the machine)
blood pressure = 121/75
weight = 69.8 kg = 154 lbs (with clothes)
