Test run for my calf. Cut it short because my arches, particularly my left became quite sore. Everything else was fine though!

Deep water running 57:00 [3]

10 minutes water running warm up, 5 minutes swimming warm up
5 x 6 minute intervals with 2 minutes easy recovery
4 minutes cool down and then I got kicked out at pool closing

FFI* did the water running with a floaty - I tried without the other day and my joints were sore from being used in unusual ways - the floaty stops that.

*For Francis' info :)

Other (swimming) 40:00 [2]

Planned to head to the pool to do a water running interval session only to find out the only pool open for free swim was the shallow pool. Did my first real swim in perhaps, well, forever instead followed by 10-15 minutes in the hot tub using the jets to massage my calves.

Plan for the next few days:
do today`s water running session tomorrow followed by an easy run on Friday to test the calf. Depending on how it goes I will either do a tempo run on Saturday or do more cross training on Saturday and then a try a longer run on Sunday.

Deep water running 45:00 [1] 8.0 km (5:38 / km)

My right calf has been ridiculously tight since the second half of my tempo run on Saturday... might to stick to a lot of this kind of alternative training this week :(

The distance is an 'equivalent distance' for the sake of weekly totals.
