Local event at Robert Simpson Park in Arnprior. Nice woods and simple orienteering. Just cruised around the course today. It's been a bit of a weird training cycle with the travel to Calgary last week. I actually did more training that week than I intended and with the higher training volume and travel and general lack of sleep due to busyness I didn't fit in the volume I wanted this week. I did get in a few good quality sessions this week but I never felt fresh.

Orienteering 28:54 [4]

Orienteering test loop south of Slack Rd. I know the area super well so I used and could get away with sloppy technique. Still was significantly faster on the second loop because of knowing even better where things were. Lost a bit of time on the control 8 the first time around because the hill is misplaced on the map.

Running 1:10:00 [3] 8.15 km (8:35 / km)

Data stolen from Alex.

The hard 1km (actually 940m) intervals in the middle were as follows (theoretically at 10km pace):
3:28
3:28
3:26
30 second recovery between each.

Just a little bit of running with the kids while coaching SOGO - playing the wild card in a game of capture the flag with the level 2s.
