Orienteering race in Spiekelspade: My race was not that good. Most of the race my technique was not good, I was always a bit behind with my orienteering, the flow was not there and I was not accurate enough in attacking the controls so I lost at many controls some seconds. Especially physically I was feeling bad, bad stomach and never a good feeling so I could not push really hard. I think it also infected my orienteering performance. Good as a final training for the 3 days of Belgium --> now I know that I have to be 100% focused as from the start!

Warming up before interval training with Kim in sportkot in Leuven (including 4 x 100m accelerating)

Interval training with Kim: 4x (600m + 200m with crossing the football field jogging in between 600m and 200m); 3' rest between each heat. 600m: 1'53", 1'49", 1'51" and 1'55"; 200m: 32", 32", 33", 32".
Since last week I am having really trouble with my hay fever when I am pushing really hard --> I am having trouble with breathing then especially when doing intervals which makes it impossible to push all the way. Hope it will not last too long any more as it is frustrating.

Orienteering race 15:06 [5] 2.8 km (5:24 / km)

Flemish championship sprint: I ran a good race with only a small number of hesitations and at two controls really some time loss: 20 sec at control number 7 and 10 sec at control number 10. Pretty satisfied with my race. I ended 2nd, 38 seconds behind Pieter Hendrickx who also ran a good race.

National event in Elsenborn. My legs were very sore after the football matches of yesterday. Also technical I made too much mistakes to win the race. I was 2nd, three minutes behind Ken Peeters. I must reduce the mistakes and increase the concentration and contact during the race.

Audit and consulting cup: warming up and cooling down between the football matches

Football 50:00 [4]

Audit and consulting cup: 6 football matches of 15 minutes with a lot changing the players. We won the tournament with PricewaterhouseCoopers for the third year in a row. In the final we won by 4-0 (scored the 2nd goal) against Robert Half.
