Left Home for the West Coast trail. I will continue to train but I will not be able to log everything as there will be very limited internet access.

Orienteering 1:30:00 [3]

Warmed up and then did pie plate relays which was kinda like intervals but a lot more fun. Cooled down afterwards but that was hard cause its still like 30 degrees outside.

Running warm up/down 45:00 [1]

Warm up and down before and after Haekel hill run.

Running race (Haekel Hill test) 16:24 [5] 3.0 km (5:28 / km) +300m 3:39 / km

Second and last Haekel run for me this year. I was thirty seconds off my last time which wasn't great but also it was thirty degrees out and scorching so that is hard conditions for something like the Haekel hill test.

Orienteering race 54:32 [4] 4.9 km (11:08 / km)

Race on the Long Advanced course on the ear lake map. I set the course and it was a good course but still just a real slog. There was a lot of moss, deadfall and a healthy amount of climbing thrown in as well. Overall I made probably one 5 minute mistake and the rest was pretty good considering how slow the running was and how hot is was (30 degrees is way to hot for that type of race.
When I got back i drank 1.2 litres of gatorade followed by 1 litre of water. I was definitely parched.

Warm up and down before and after strength test.

Strength/Stretching (strength test) 15:00 [5]

Strength test at the timing hut. It was 30 degrees outside so i was sweating a lot. I somehow managed to get a personal best (242) even though I have only done strength twice since the last test.
