Cycling (Apex Park) 20:00 [3]

Ride from home with Paddy to Apex Park to meet Dad, then home again up the hill - my legs were tired and I must have looked a bit stuffed as one of the mums in a car along Suffolk (it was school pick-up time) commented that the ride up the hill looked really tough. :)

Run (Belair) 37:00 [3] 6.8 km (5:26 / km)

Left Paddy at Apex park with Dad who had kindly asked me earlier in the day if I'd like to go for a run. Ran up the creek, through the park next to Laffers and up the street that pops out just below Sheoak Cafe. The first 3km were uphill & it felt like it too. Then through Belair station, along the Yurrabilla trail down to the lake and back along the creek to the park again. It felt tough, but I managed 5min km on the way back down the creek! Running soon after lunch doesn't really do it for me, but when you don't get many chances to exercise you take what you can get! Thanks Dad. :)

Cycling (Commute) 15:00 [3]

To M&D's to drop off Paddy for the day and home again. I didn't ride to pick him up because it was a bit too hot.

Walk (Belair) 40:00 [2]

Morning walk around Belair with Tyson and Paddy before it gets too hot. Lots of lazy koalas snoozing in the trees.

Rogaine (Paradise minigaine) 2:20:00 [3] 15.0 km (9:20 / km)

Minigaine with Tyson and Paddy in the pram. It was a warm afternoon and running with the pram was a bit of a struggle - thanks to Tyson for doing the majority of the pushing. We chose a route that we thought might be scenic and shady, and would have our two goals of access to playgrounds and icecreams. So we headed first to Thorndon Park, to find the gate closed and the hole in the fence un-prammable. Because of our running start we had many teams building up behind us waiting to get through the hole, so we took Paddy out of the pram, I crawled through with him and Tyson folded the pram up and squeezed it through the fence. Then there was the dam wall we were stuck behind. Ah well, luckily we could go around that. Then a couple of controls on our way to Wadmore Park and a 90 pointer. It was HOT going up the hill to this one. Then down to the Torrens and picking up controls along the Torrens to number 41 where there was a nice shady playground. It had been 1hr 20min and we'd been moving pretty well, but we let Paddy out for a 15-20min play here. Of course, he wasn't too happy about going back in the pram. So we headed to Kay's place for the next control and had to let Paddy out to play in the grass and walk around for a while longer. Then we headed up to get icecreams from the shops, cut our route short and headed for the HH with a grumpy child. As soon as we were back and he could run around on the oval he was happy as larry again. :) Fun rogaine - shame about the heat - but it just made the watermelon and pizza that much more awesome at the end!

Run (Coromandel Valley) 43:00 [3] 7.4 km (5:49 / km)

Left Paddy at M&D's and went for a run down the creek to Waymouth Oval then back up Coromandel Parade along the little, overgrown track. It was too soon after lunch, it was muggy and I felt pretty average, but - I went for a run!!

So I haven't had time to do any exercise this week. Feeling frustrated. :(
