Run (Hawthorndene) 31:00 [3] 5.6 km (5:32 / km)

A hilly lap of the 'dene before dinner, though I was feeling pretty lethargic. I ran past Marco walking home and that gave me an excuse to stop and walk for a minute or so. Hope I feel less tired in time for my 4hr exam on Saturday...

Run (Belair NP) 36:00 [3] 6.6 km (5:27 / km)

Tyson dropped me at Belair triangle on the way home and I ran home through the NP. Unfortunately, I had my second close encounter of the brown snake kind in as many weeks! This time it was a smaller snake about 1-2ft from my left foot. I was running on the fire track below the train line (I've been avoiding single tracks since the last incident) and saw it as my foot landed beside it. Naturally, it slithered off into the grass, but I got home on adrenalin and very closely watching the ground the rest of the way home. I thought I'd be relatively ok for snakes cos it was 5.30pm and reasonably cool, but alas they seem to be everywhere at the moment.

Run (Bridgewater) 58:00 [3] 9.0 km (6:27 / km)

Nice and cool when we started out in the valley at 7am, but the mercury quickly climbed as we did - you could feel the degrees go up as we went through several layers of air on the first big hill. By the time we climbed up Ambulance Road the hot wind was blowing and I was feeling pretty hot & bothered. Lovely to see everyone - shame about the 41 degree day. This run pretty much wrecked me for the day!
