Indoor Climbing 30:00 [3]

First time I have ever done this. Took Cass and the boys off to the hangout this evening with our climbing buff neighbours.

Spent 2 hours there but only logging 30 mins as lots of belaying and helping the kids. Did the first couple of 15 climbs easily. Then a 16 and started to feel good after a few more.

Tried a 16 with an overhang and got to the top hold but couldn't push to the top of the board. Cass then tried and fell at the overhang before trying again and making it all the way. I had to try again then but only got to the same point again before legs and hands could go no more.

Kids had a great time bouldering and climbing. AJ made it to the top on a number of occasions whilst LJ spent lots of time dangling on a rope.

Great night and this may become a regular outing I think

Adventure Race 6:00:00 [4]

Plan was to use today as prep for espresso but when we got our maps we realised it was a separate course for mixed and all male. So therefore Dolf and I were paired.

Had a really great day out there. Naved cleanly with only a couple of minor errors. Lost our momentum a little during the rogaine but more through finding a place to cross the river than through poor nav.

Surprisingly I held up pretty well given I was racing on 3 hours sleep the night before.

Our main mistake was thinking the final control was the finish and only finding out it was on an obstacle about 20 mins after finishing so we headed back out to pick it up. Means we will have more photos of ourselves in the finishing chute.

Note

After 6 weeks of putting up with this cold/sinus/coughing & wheezing I finally succumbed and got antibiotics today. Hope they work.

Paddle 1:09:19 [3] 7.54 km (9:12 / km)
ahr:111 max:123 shoes: Bic Tobago Double

With Liz from Hillarys to half way between Whitfords point and Mullaloo, return. Icy cold start at 6.40.

Treated to a show all around our boat by 3 dolphins this morning. Sun just coming up, water calm and a family of dolphins diving under and around the boat within arms reach..... perfect!
