Hiked up Prairie Mountain with the ski club. Hiked with my 8 year old who had no problem. Very little snow compared to yesterday's hike (!) but extremely slippery and muddy coming down through the trees.

Hiked up Forgetmetnot Ridge - entirely in the snow. Had to break trail (took turns) - snow sometimes hip deep (mostly knee to thigh deep). Cut down from saddle between ridge and Forgetmenot Mt. and bushwacked (snow-wacked more like it) to Threepoint Trail and then back to Elbow Loop and back. Total time actually moving took 5 hours but the whole trip took 7 hours.

Nose Hill Grand Prix #1 medium course. Spent some time reviewing bearings etc with Linda on the course and practicing compass work. Made one major mistake and wasted a lot of time. Took embarrassingly long but heck at least I'm learning.
