paddle 1:00:00 [4] 11.0 km (5:27 / km)

Bonus downwind when Karen rang and invited me . . . Freo to Swannie and the first one in was Dangerman!! Not entirely sure how he got in front of me!

Linked a few waves, started looking beyond my bow. . . .

paddle 1:30:00 [4] 12.0 km (7:30 / km)
shoes: Wobbles

Great fun at first, screaming along, then the wind picked up as did the waves so I pulled the pin at City instead of suffering all the way to Trigg.

When we started it was 15 knots SSW and an hour later 19 knots. And on the Cott ocean conditions website the graph of wave heights is heading strongly upward during the time we were out there - it went from no swell to about 2m.

All in I'm happy with my decision to pull out at City altho I had to use all my feminine wiles to convince the SLSC boys to help me carry my ski up the beach (hard to do yourself in 19 knot winds, you're carrying a SAIL) and then one of them drove me up to Trigg where I did the 'walk of shame' over to the rest of the guys. 'Where's your boat?'

Note
(rest day)

Had an accidental rest day - this is when you have intentions of training but they are dashed by something out of your control. This time the 'something' was actually 'someone'. Read Dangerman's log for his version.

I showed up to the core session expecting to find Martin and his Spirit ski but there was no Martin. I gave him 15 minutes and then went looking down the coast.

City Beach. No Martin.

Swanbourne. No Martin.

North Cott, Cott, the parking area where his car is - no Martin.

Right, I think, he's in trouble (not in trouble with me, but the kind of trouble requiring a rescue). I tried to find someone at Cott SLSC but no-one is there, so I start walking towards the police car in the carpark when my phone rings - 'I'm at City Beach can you come and get me please'?

Needless to say the boy got a lecture when we got back to my place and I've now had two rest days in a row,I can feel my ass expanding . . . .

Note
(rest day)

It was 'take your boat for a drive day' today- Wobbles came to work with me but at 6pm the swell was coming from the north-ish and the wind was almost directly west - not so much fun.

My exercise for the day was walking to a few meetings and the Matilda Bay Tearooms (approx. 300m, my life is rough). Can't log that and still maintain credibility, sigh.

I'll make up for my sloth by working hard at the core session tonight!

bike to/from work 30:00 [3] 11.7 km (2:34 / km)
shoes: Rocket

Three times riding to work this week instead of taking the urban assault vehicle! And it's mainly soI can log more training hours than Dangerman.

bike to/from work 30:00 [3] 11.7 km (2:34 / km)
shoes: Rocket

paddle 1:10:00 [5] 10.0 km (7:00 / km)
shoes: Wobbles

First I must apologise to my ski for anything bad I have ever said, including calling her a 'leaky old bag', 'stupid wobbly thing', and 'f%$ing boat'. And also for trying to sell her for $5 after Anaconda 2007.

I love my Wobbles, I really do. We had a great paddle today, downwind from Freo to Swanbourne and for the first time ever I really sorted out my wave catching - I started paddling like hell earlier than I usually do and caught lots more waves! Many times we were flying along and I dared not put the paddle in the water cos that would have slowed me down!!

I had so much fun that when we got done I told Martin that I would give up sex if I could have that much fun paddling just a couple times a week!

Only fell out once, not quite sure how, but Martin will comment on that Iam sure.

bike to/from work 30:00 [3] 11.7 km (2:34 / km)
shoes: Rocket

weights 45:00 [4]
shoes: new joggers

After two weeks off and still sore from yesterday, weights was bloody hard work! I even missed a few of my three-rep sets altho I blame boofheads being in the way for one missed set.
