bike ride 1:24:23 [3] 29.05 km (2:54 / km)
ahr:139 max:157 shoes: Rocket

Home to Burswood and on to where the bike path ends at the Narrows (??) - less distance just to keep going but I'm bored with the UWA-home bit so I decided to turn around and come back and see how 30km felt.

weights 35:00 [3]

Went light cos I'm tired but gotta get the weights in somewhere! Eating carbs now so I get thru another downwind this arvo!

Chin ups 2.5. Not bad considering 18km paddle yesterday!

paddle 50:33 [3] 8.2 km (6:10 / km)
ahr:143 max:154 shoes: Wobbles

Fairly cruisy little Freo to Swannie run with Bae, winds around 14 knots. Paddle out 8:30
Swannie 50:00 (41min)
About 2 min stop so still did the paddle in my usual (now) 39 minutes.

paddle 1:59:11 [3] 18.0 km (6:37 / km)
ahr:147 max:161 shoes: Wobbles

Brilliant downwind Freo to Trigg with Andrew and Dave.
Paddle out :12
Cott :41 (29min)
Swannie :51 (39min)
City 1:19 (1:07 yeehah less than 1:10!)
Scarbs 1:47 (1:35)
Trigg 1:59 (1:47)

Probably about a minute of stops?? Very happy with those times and absolutely loved it out there.

paddle 58:54 [3] 6.0 km (9:49 / km)
ahr:143 max:163 shoes: Wobbles

Delightful little bounce up the coast Cott to City with Bae. Conditions weren't great but we had fun and stopped to chat several times. Followed by burgers MMMMMM.

paddle 55:13 [3] 8.2 km (6:44 / km)
ahr:146 max:158 shoes: Wobbles

Freo to Swannie with Andre and Andrew. Swell bigger than the wind waves and quite W and somehow I got lulled to sleep and wasn't making much effort. Catching prolonged runs was tricky with the swell coming past and knocking you off the wave! No swims tho so that was good but my HR stats show I wasn't working very hard . . . .

Andrew has a GPS so now I know how far we went!

paddle 51:00 [3] 7.0 km (7:17 / km)
ahr:150 max:161 shoes: Wobbles

Went from Scarborough to Sorrento with Dave. The break at Scarbs scares me and on my first attempt I was so chicken shit that I got turned sideways and removed ungracefully from my ski.

On my second attempt a guy pushed me! Actually very helpful and managed to get over 3-4 rather big waves that I felt sure would knock me out as they were full body blows. Once out the swell was the biggest I've ever been in! I could barely find Dave as he kept disappearing.

The paddle was a bit like being in a washing machine, MTBjen's reference to a 'seething ocean' rang in my ears. I didn't catch as many waves as I would have liked but it was a blast just bouncing around that much. Thrilled to bits not to swim and I had another textbook landing at Sorrento. Next landing is a predicted dumping!

Intervals with Ty Stedman's group. Hard work cos I've just been playing for months.

Note
(rest day)

No choice but to rest, need an upper body rest day anyway and my legs are barely working.
