Note
(sick)

Woke up in the middle of the night cos I was choking on something (phlegm!), then realised I had a sore throat. Managed to sleep in until 9:45am which meant it was too late to try out my new slicks (and 100psi tire pressure, what are the bike shop guys thinking the tires are like rocks!!).

However given the sneezing and painful throat I think I just need a sick day, stay in and rest!

weights 50:00 [3]

I expected this would be a miserable session as I feel really weak from this cold, but for some reason it was the opposite. Five wide-arm chinups for the first time ever!

Chinups 5, 4, 4, 4 YAY

climbing 4:00:00 [3]

Bit of a long session! Some good climbing tho. Elbows hurt and hands are tender and I'm going to wrap them around a beer!

Friday Mar 13, 2009 #

paddle 1:06:00 [3] 12.0 km (5:30 / km)
shoes: Wobbles

Freo to City, decent wind and waves. Swam when a wave broke on top of me, stupidly thought 'I can catch that!' Yeah right. From Freo to Swannie it was great fun but got messy after Swannie. All five of us swam coming in, we must have looked like a right bunch of novices.

Start 6:01pm
Turned downwind 6:06
At Cott 6:30
City 7:07

weights 45:00 [3]

Smith Machine broken so no legs tonight, and my finger still bloody hurts so I cut the chin ups back (4, 3, 2). Hard to do them minus one finger on the right hand.

climbing 30:00 [3]

Traversing sesh after weights, footwork and balance. Amazing how much of a sweat you can work up moving slowly and sideways!!

climbing 2:45:00 [3]

I quit before the elbows started to really hurt - mainly due to the hands hurting from bouldering on the 45 degree wall!

yoga 1:00:00 [3]

First half hour was a bit of a crock with breathing but the second half hour worked me! My toes seem to have moved further away from my fingers though.

Also did chin-ups - 4, 3, 3, 3 last two sets down slowly and back up.
