stumbling (beach) 30:00 [3] 0.3 km (1:40:00 / km)
weight:59.5kg (injured)

Raf took me to the beach where he was going to do some ins and outs practice in perfect conditions. I mostly walked along the beach worried that his ski was going to take someone out if/when he lost hold of it.

He did one out followed by one in and I couldn't get him to go again. But then we had beer at Salt so I stopped hassling him :-) For a newby ocean paddler he did quite well.

I SOOO wanted to grab his ski and paddle and get out there! Six more weeks. Halfway there.

stumbling 30:00 [3] 1.5 km (20:00 / km)
weight:59.8kg (injured)

To and from shops, and work, and burgers place x2. I can walk all the way up my 30 stairs now without stopping - amazing what 3kg of excess fluid was doing to me.

This is my first day without the home nurses, and another step in the return to a normal life. And still no word from my cardiologist about the blood transfusion and fluid on my lungs and return to IV antibiotics, so I'll just continue to fly under the radar and hope that all goes away. . . .

stumbling (a bit faster) 20:00 [3] 1.0 km (20:00 / km)
weight:60.5kg

I saw my cardiologist yesterday and he decided to double my dose of Lasix to get rid of the fluid hanging around my body. I took my second dose just before I went to bed cos I was getting really worried about my swelling ankle - and overnight I lost 1.8kg of fluid.

Today I walked from a far away car park to the xray place, then to the blood test place, then across a lawn to the river for lunch, then across the car park to get to the bus. And it all felt MUCH easier.

Maybe I don't need that blood transfusion after all????
