bike ride 29:49 [3] 8.82 km (3:23 / km)
weight:58.3kg (injured) shoes: Rocket

OOOOOH look at that, some actual exercise! I've been cleared to ride my bike for a week now but it had a flat tyre . . . yesterday I bravely fixed it myself, AND got it back on the bike (it was the back tyre) AND by some miracle the tyre was still good this morning.

So Raf and I went along the bike path and I was absolutely thrilled that the heart held up quite well, better than I had expected given how difficult walking up Rokeby Road has been.

I'm about the same speed I was before, considering I have the MTB tyres on and had to wait for Raf who was having issues with his gears. Yay!

yoga 1:10:00 [3]

I wasn't sure if I'd get through this, but other than the push up position it was ok. Hopefully it will loosen up the perpetual stiff upper body and neck muscles which I'm really very tired of.

Note
(injured)

I've successfully got this aortic valve through two months without ruining it. One more month and I'm out of the Shadow of Death (there is a much higher chance of the bacteria coming back in the first three months post-op - 2-5%!!).

jog/walk 20:00 [3] 2.0 km (10:00 / km)
(injured)

To work and then from the Subi home, following a work 'meeting' where I tried to ply someone with wine to get my way. It possibly worked.

jog/walk 30:00 [3] 2.0 km (15:00 / km)

No rests needed on the uphill today, and on the way home I got rained on a bit so I had to walk FAST in between trees down Bagot Road. And I JOGGED across a little street. And I am still alive.

Plans of a very early and very quiet night were dashed by Raf who decided we were going out for drinks. My arm is so easily twisted . . . .

jog/walk 30:00 [3] 2.0 km (15:00 / km)
(injured)

Maybe the other side of Rokeby Road is steeper, cos I needed a rest today. Or maybe just a bad day.

Saw my cardiologist - blood results are ok although hemoglobin is only 102 so it's not exactly coming up. But something else was on the high side which indicates my body is madly producing RBCs, so they're probably still being smashed by this horrid ticking valve.

Raf cooked me half a cow worth of steak for dinner, that can only help. :-)

The hill on Rokeby is getting a little bit easier!
