bike ride (lies lies lies) 30:00 [3] 0.1 km (5:00:00 / km)

I packed the bikes in the car. I even packed the pump. I packed the maps (thx Wally). We drove to the Whicher Trails and even found them.

However we did not pack: water.

We did, however, have Yallingup wood fired bread, Vasse olive oil and spicy dukkah, and a mango. So we had a picnic by the side of the road and drank our combined 100mL of water to wash down our very yummy food. Almost as good as MTBing!!!!

jog/walk (down south) 1:00:00 [3] 3.0 km (20:00 / km)

This was my 'congrats to MEEE I'm alive' trip, with Raf who wouldn't let me go alone in case I hurt myself and bled to death. We were going to camp but the campground was fully booked - however we found a most lovely little B&B just outside Margaret River and a 700m walk back to town. Score!

We only left Perth an hour later (which is a minor miracle for Israelis, apparently) and drove straight thru to Artezen for brekky. I will never get over the feeling of calm that overcomes you when you arrive in Dunsborough.

From there we went to two of my fave spots that Raf had never seen: Sugarloaf Rock and Canal Rocks, followed by Meelup Beach and ambling around Dunsborough.

We had been concerned about schoolies running rampant but we actually found noisier creatures - bet you didn't think that was possible - it was an international Harley Davidson riders meeting! Noisy Harleys were all over the place and their very crusty-looking riders as well.

We got some use out of them, we jumped on their shuttle bus into town that night! After drinking entirely too much we had to walk the whole distance back where we discovered free sherry and port in the lounge! Amazingly we didn't feel too seedy in the morning, altho I got up around midnight for a pee and got very disorientated in the dark, and ended up in a cupboard trying to figure out why the toilet seat was moveable.

It was the ironing board. Thankfully I managed to wake up enough to realise what was going on before I peed in the cupboard.

jog/walk 50:00 [3] 4.0 km (12:30 / km)

The usual walk to and from work, then to my surgeon's office (down Jacobs Ladder).

I got the ALL CLEAR from him to get back into everything!! Yippee! And when I asked him why the valve was so damn noisy he said it's because my heart is really strong. Aww . . .

The test was going to be how I went going back UP Jacobs Ladder - I wasn't too hopeful but I did it in one go. Not quickly, but with no stops. Awesome day!

jog/walk 30:00 [3] 2.0 km (15:00 / km)

paddle (yucky windy river) 40:43 [3] 5.51 km (7:23 / km)

UWA to the Narrows and back, into the wind on the way back. I was quite wobbly in boat wash!

The last km I pushed a bit to see how that felt - the chest muscles that insert on my shoulders really felt it. Awesome to be out there though!
