bike ride (steady) 1:29:34 [3] 32.38 km (2:46 / km)
ahr:106 max:131 shoes: Rocket

In a complete blonde moment I forgot about my plan to find the fwy south bike path and instead headed to UWA and then thru the city, across some bridges, around South Perth, and back. I added on extra bits at the uni and in a feat of perfect timing managed to get within 30sec of the time I was aiming at (1hr 30 min).

There was a very nice tailwind on the way back, and I was in my biggest gear with my heart rate at 100! Fun.

paddle (cut run) 1:03:33 [3] 12.16 km (5:14 / km)
shoes: Swordfish

Wonderful fun. Inauspicious start to the expedition when we lost a ski off the trailer as the owner had not tied it down. Think Evos have great aerodynamics but do not bounce well.

Conditions were brilliant and I spent less time than usual in la-la land and more time than usual being happy I wasn't paddling a super-tippy 'fast' ski as I could put down whatever power my 57kg can muster instead of wobbling and falling off the back of waves.

Fastest time this season by about five minutes, coming good just in time for Saturday's Duel!!

bike ride 58:09 [3] 18.92 km (3:04 / km)
shoes: Rocket

I need to find a long flattish traffic light-free section of road or bike path to do intervals, so I went on a search for the start of the freeway south bike path. No luck. I did find the way to the Joondalup bike path although I'm not sure I could find it again.

So how do you get on to the freeway south bike path from Subiaco? I can get to Loftus St and I assume I head to Wellington St but then what?

walk 15:00 [3] 1.5 km (10:00 / km)

learning to run (treadmill) 27:00 [3]
ahr:147 max:163

Supposed to be 3min each of 10kmh, 11kmh, 11.5kmh x 3.

Almost.

Got through the first two rounds, then had to hop off for a minute of the third 10kmh and only made it 1/2 way through the third 11.5kmh.

paddle (cut run) 1:10:39 [3] 12.49 km (5:39 / km)
shoes: Swordfish

13-14kt SW made for another downwind requiring actual work! I was in la-la land for some of this which didn't help either, and then was having so much fun that when I looked at my GPS expecting ~8km I found I had done 10.5 which meant I was way too far off shore and had to cut right rather severely.

Using my other paddle has left me with heaps of blisters. Girl.

bike ride (Camel Farm) 2:27:00 [3] 29.74 mi (4:57 / mi)
shoes: Anthem X 29er

All over the place following Darren, on trails I've never even heard of like Little Ovens, Hacksaws, Chuditch . . . At least four stacks, including one off a berm on Scorpion when I was too high at the end of it and rode right over the side. Thankfully the bike stayed on the trail and I could crawl up to it.

Adrian was on his new Santa Cruz Tallboy, a bit like the one I saw Wally with except this one was not covered in mud. :-)

walk 15:00 [3] 1.5 km (10:00 / km)

weights 40:00 [3]

Note
weight:56.9kg

56.9kg! This is likely to be a temporary foray below 57kg so I'm making sure to log it. I'm down over 3kg since the beginning of November. I don't think it's making much difference to riding my bike up hills but I have seen big improvements in my running, and my abs . :-)

learning to run 30:03 [3] 4.62 km (6:30 / km)

All run, no knee pain, almost felt comfortable. I think City to Surf half marathon will be achievable this year if I can stay injury free :-)
