My leg has been pretty good for a week now so I took it for a run. It lasted almost seven minutes before there was any sign that anything had been wrong, but it wasn't nearly as painful as previous 2-3 minute runs have been so I continued for the planned 10min.

As soon as I stopped running the slight pain went away and has not come back since. Yahoo.

10min jogs every other day for the next couple weeks . . . . It felt really comfortable to run!!

Note

BUOS. Or more accurately, take your boat for a drive day. Seabreeze promised those stupid Ely winds would die off by about 3pm so I waited and waited then headed to the river about 4:30pm where I scowled for about half an hour and watched as the winds did NOT decrease.

Continued checks of seabreeze showed they actually *increased* so I came home.

From Darren's house thru the S suburbs seemingly at random for 7.5km until we got to the fwy south bike path. Then potentially the most boring ride in the world south until my GPS bleeped 25km, then turn around and come back.

This is an exceptionally good piece of bike path if you just need to get km in, as there are no turns, or other people to worry about, or roads to cross, or anything much to have to think about at all. But OMG yawn.

Note

My gym is closed! Apparently an inspection at Lords turned up asbestos fibres (eep) and the whole gym is closed until further notice. Now I'm going to wither away to a stick insect.

A bit short as I got sick of waiting for the GPS to find satellites, so I just headed off and started it when it was happy.

This ride is still a struggle for me even though my max HR was in the 130s. The legs were hurting on hills but that's ok, they can be made stronger!

The non-Mauritius-bound me would have never got as far as getting the boat off the roof, so the fact that I made it 6km (planned 10km) is commendable IMHO.
