4 AM

walking 1:05:38 [4] 2.35 km (27:59 / km)

Took the gondola then hiked around. The rock formations were awesome! Had some light rain but it was very comfortable.

Hiking in the Dolomites, absolutely beautiful! Light rain showers came and went but nothing that really got us wet.

Asiago, Italy - tough course with lots of steep hills. Was able to contour some and avoid the climb. Very enjoyable run! Not sure where I placed.

orienteering race (sprint) 28:00 [3] ** 2.3 km (12:10 / km)

Asiago, Italy - ran through the town, had a great time. Not real tricky but fun nonetheless.

IOF General Assembly Meeting with Rick and Glen. Always interesting but without any serious issues. The vote on whether to include ROGAINE and Adventure Racing under the IOF umbrella failed...despite our yes vote. Always good to hear that many of our complaints about the event were the same as other countries. Almost convinced that we should go to South Africa for a 5 days.

9 AM

walking 1:00:00 [2]

walked from the bus station to the event center on the other end of the city...turned out to be the fastest way to get there.
12 PM

orienteering race (sprint) 32:35 [3] ***
spiked:10/11c

The Venice sprint...I really had to pay attention to the map. I thought I did well at memorizing 2-3 junctions ahead. It required major focus. The one I missed was due to a tour group of about 50 people being on the bridge where my control was located. I managed to get through the crowd only to realize that I had missed the control. By the time I got back they were clear of the bridge. Was fun watching WOC runners (especially Sam, see video on facebook) running through the 2nd to last control on their way to the finish.
5 PM

walking 1:00:00 [3]

back to the bus station from the event center.
