Flat Paddle (cruise) 1:13:55 [3] 11.26 km (6:34 / km)

A morning cruise around the old jetty. nice paddle.

Ran into a group of sea kayakers that apparently paddle every weekend in the area, first time I have ever seen them but they have coffee and sandwiches with them for their mid paddle stop so good people to know.

Left them after a while and went and looked at the Leeuwin, some poor sod was hanging off a bosun's chair repainting the bow. crusied through the front of Vat 2 then back out along the jetty, coming back was into the wind so I sounded the periscope and bashed into it up to the inner harbour, cruised along the Koombana beach and then a lap of the inlet.

I will start taking the prologue seriously when they do. John's comment that everyone not in the first two rows wasn't going to make more than a couple of laps was pretty accurate so we went for a dawdle. Shame as it is a nice track and I would like to try and ride it fast at some point.

Had time to get knocked out, go and sit down with Rach and still spectate half the race.

Shakedown ride on the MTB. glad I did it since I clipped a log up in John Forrest and had to re-align my rear derailuer in the middle of the ride. sign of things to come........

bought some Brooks Adreneline ASR's but will hold off running in them till I can get the podiatrist to pad them out.

spent too long shopping to fit in proper core strength, but got new shorts for the rogaine next week. And hopefully my now shorter hair won't do the sticking out through the helmet thing. Though it is a good look.

A soft dissapointing paddle. The ocean was looking pretty interesting so the soft clubbies decided to go to the inlet and practice starts.

A short session as well with all the stuffing around moving boats. And we were using the sheltered water in front of the brewery which was a killer for motivation.

4 x 20 stroke starts and 5 short races. placings depended on the starts but ranged from second to DFL.

Cruisy ride from home-dalyellup-south down the highway and back.

Lots of people out on bikes today, got over taken by a tiny chick about 4 mins into the ride, jumped on her wheel for a while then just as I was going for a testosterone fuelled overtake she turned off. but I would have made it...... fo' shure......

had a good collection of niggles this week but focussed on:
R side of neck
L shoulder blade
R lower back

ITB, R much sorer than left.

styetching and started to do core strength but got called away by nursemaid duties and was too tired to start again.

Been really tired all Sunday and Monday so skipped the planned paddle. Sleeping has been a bit intermittent so that could be the problem.

MTB ride with MTBJen, tRicky and a faint shadow of Dangerman. rode some trails that I never knew existed, left all my MTB skills at home though so I was having plenty of gumby moments and stupid balks.

Had one good downhill run through the really rocky section towards the end, but it all went bad again shortly after, no stacks though. Probably because I wasn't going fast enough to fall off. And because I balked at a log-over with no down ramp. tRicky didn't. he he he.
