Commute 40:00 [3] 16.2 km (24.3 kph)

Rode home early to take my bike in for major surgery. legs very tired and on the last hill they politely asked me for a day off. since they asked so nicely they may get it.

MTB Ride (MTBO) 1:55:33 [3] 35.4 km (18.4 kph)
shoes: Anthem MTB

meh.legs were tired. I attampted a warmup but it hurt too much so I stopped. felt slow through to where I missed on the way to 5. Actually felt better after that and the pace slowly picked up.

Saw Tooms and Danger near 6 so I was happy to hold Tooms off till almost the end and Danger altogether. down there with my slowest times ever.

Trek (Corolless Rogaine) 11:20:00 [3] 37.0 km (18:23 / km)
shoes: Brooks Adrenaline ASR

Rogaining. Will someone please tell me what the point is?

Full team (Robin, Ant, Frenchie) went out and I had the full pack on. which got a few weird looks.

Nav was very easy, controls were easy to spot. not much of a challenge at all. had two wobbles still. I only navved two controls and we thankfully went straoght to them. then I could drop to teh back and yap with Ant again.

just did enough work to beat Juffy and called it a day, feet took a bit of a pounding due to getting wet feet at the start.

Note

No paddle. As the boarding of my plane last night got delayed I was annoyed since it meant I needed to make the call between paddle or sleep. When the ambulance came to get the bloke that had had a heart attack on the plane I had took a much needed dose of perspective and wasn't upset any more.

Life's not that bad.
7 AM

Commute 35:00 [3] 16.0 km (27.4 kph)
shoes: Dodgy Roadie

Legs felt good so I was holding a decent click, then I got a call from my boss saying that he was delayed and I could I let his 7:30 interview know that he wasn't going to make it. Sped up from there to not be too late.

Had an interesting dilema. If you were sitting in the reception of a company where nobody knew anything about the interview you weer supposed to be attending would you prefer:
a) After a 15min wait a sweaty bearder man in lycra rocks up and lets you know the interview ain't happening. or
b) After a 25min wait a man in proper work attire rocks up to say the same thing?

No prizes for guessing which way I did it.
5 PM

Commute 37:00 [3] 16.0 km (25.9 kph)
shoes: Dodgy Roadie

Time does not include the stop to call Rach to see if she remembered my running gear.... since I forgot it. or the time I spent after the ride going to the newsagent to get a comb. My memory sucks.
6 PM

Run 1:00:00 [3] 10.0 km (6:00 / km)
shoes: Brooks Adrenaline 4

Another Muzzled run. Small crew in general actually.

Pete led us out then Luce took over when he got indecisive. ended up doing the top half of the DNA grass twice with three tower reps. nice run, legs felt good. speed was good. new shorts were good. sad that I could rustle the rest of the running gear from my locker. no wonder it smells.

Flat Paddle 1:01:00 [3] 9.6 km (6:21 / km)
shoes: Epic V10

Paddle this morning, I was worried that my shoulder would still be hurting from my tree hugging yesterday but that side is fine (if a little bruised) Other shoulder hurt though. I did hit a lot of trees on the weekend.

From Red Herring, upriver alone then met Andrew on the way back and paddled back with him. Arms felt empty and struggled a bit this morning. The sprint finish was a very close thing that I got by less than a foot.

Think I need a quiet week this week.
