Flat Paddle 1:03:01 [3] 10.5 km (6:00 / km)

Another solo cruise in the K1. I briefly joined up with the boys but their wash was knocking me around too much so I went off by myself to focus on technique. My right catch really needs work and is causing some elbow pain.

MTB Ride (Jarrahdale) 2:43:21 [3] 44.7 km (16.4 kph)
shoes: Scale 29er

Ride with Russ and a few of the boys from my old work. Their plan to ride Jarrahdale tied in nicely with my desire to get back out on the hardtail

I was really skittish at the start, lots of sideways action with the XC tyres and some big kicks off the little jumps I attempted. I have gotten very lazy on the long travel bike I discovered and needing to pay attention to steering was a bit of a shock. I got more comfortable as the ride went on and hopefully it will be OK in the race.

The boys from work are getting a bit leery of riding with me now, every time I come out one of them has a big crash, reportedly it doesn't happen when I am not there. This time one of the boys had a lie down in a rock garden and took some skin off and bashed up his hand. I was nowhere near him at the time but it was still my fault apparently.
