Orienteering 1:15:00 [2]
(sick) shoes: Walshes (Freebies)

Training with Farsta School in Huddinge. Sexy sexy terrain!! Really cool exercise too. Feeling like my tech side is getting really good (Y) Got split into teams and I was with these 3 other ppl. We were all given maps at same time and the course was planned so there were 3 legs to 3 diffo controls and then a leg after to the same control. Got to one fine but got put in another group and had to go with this slow girl but ok with that as felt so sick. Nick B planned the course. No big mistakes so little errors but nothing huge so real happy. Gotta do more o tech training exercises

Note

Warm Up - 10 minutes jogging + stretches
Warm Down - 8 minutes jogging

Note

Really proud of my weeks training. Quite a lot of hours. I don't include WU or WD anymore as to me it shouldn't be added as a training session. But to show I am still doing them and aren't being lazy I write a note :)

Looked at my training graph from Pre-JWOC and I'm doing what I'm meant to be doing at this time of the month so I'm happy with that. Bring on next week, loads of oing planned!

Orienteering (Relay) 48:56 [5] 6.5 km (7:32 / km)
shoes: Walshes (Freebies)

Woman's Relay - 1st Leg

First off was not impressed or happy that was put in the 3rd team for the relay. Its not an elite club and I was running in a team with rubbish girls oh and this one girl in the 2nd team should not have been in the 2nd team. Mann I dislike the Jarfalla coach. Ok rant overr.

So had an awesome race. Technically did really well but physically died a tad as was running through terrain for like the whole course and was rough over foot, very tough. Loved it though soo much and really impressed with how I raced. Came in quite far ahead of the 2nd team girl (:P) and beat all the girls in my class from yesterday and I beat Johanna Lönkvist.

19th out of 90 girls :D (Y)

Orienteering race (Middle) 34:47 [4] 4.67 km (7:27 / km)
shoes: Walshes (Freebies)

Gorgeous terrain! Was so sexy to run through. Really enjoyed the race and felt ok in my legs (dont think i've tried hard enough in sessions this week but saying that my tummy has been all over the place). Technically wasn't great, had some good controls and then some terrible ones.

Came 6th/29 which is ok and was 1.45 behind winner but I lost like over 3 minutes for the whole course. Lots of room for improvement..

Marita came over. We went for a nice relaxing jog in the sun. Talk a lot about orienteering. We are racing against each other this weekend and start times were announced today and out of all the 27 runners, it's Marita who's 2 minutes behind me!!

Running (Recovery) 25:00 [2]
ahr:133 max:161 shoes: Walshes (Freebies)

Went to Marita's, she showed me some maps of comps she did in Sweden while I was in UK. Some great terrains and races I missed.
Errgghh tummy just awful. Had to keep stopping. In the morning I had felt fine but then once running my stomach didn't respond well :(
7 PM

Orienteering 24:50 [2] 3.2 km (7:46 / km)
ahr:141 max:164 shoes: Walshes (Freebies)

Shitty fuck fuck. I orienteered so badly this evening, I was mortified with myself. I'll now be in like the bottom teams for the relays as showed I seriously can't orienteer in Swedish terrain.

Map Memory - Got to look at a map for 1 minute then had to take a bearing and get to the control and then continue on to the next map so memorising two legs. There were like 8 in total?

I did shite and my bearings were awful and so was my memory

Orienteering 25:50 [2] 2.64 km (9:47 / km)
ahr:139 max:160 shoes: Walshes (Freebies)

3 courses, I only did 2 though as taking so long to do them. When I finished my 2nd all the juniors had gone back and only the older folk left, jeez feeling so stupid.

Course 1 - Bearings crap, visualising crap, everything crap. Like 2 good legs out of 7. Got told to pace but I don't know how to so I'm going to try and get taught.

Course 2 - Bit better, took it slower. Lost so much confidence and now worried about the weekend. One bad leg out of 7. Have to be more in control.

Gosh knees and hand so sore. But only hand bothers me when running which is good. Just scared of falling over. Going to O Club tonight and if doing oing won't be going to fast cus if I fall I could infect or hurt my knees more. Feeling sorry for myself, its just one thing after another!

OMG THIS WAS SOOO FUN!

Right we had to get into pairs and I went with Linda. It was like a mini relay. Linda was off first so she had to go to 1 first and then run back to give me the map, then I went to 9 and I had to run back and changeover again. So there were 9 controls and Linda worked her way up to 9 and I did down to 1. It was a mass start and most people weren't going to the same first control.
You were meant to run really fast like in intervals and then on the way back try and memorise your route to the next control so you knew what you were doing once you changed over. Recovery between controls was waiting for your next partner.

Running ok actually felt quite good but tired towards the end and because I was going opposite way round had to deal with the climb whereas if I did these first woulda had more energy. Made two minor mistakes which was annoyed at but havent orienteered at speed like that in a while. Sooo mega mega funnn :D
