Orienteering 45:00 [3] 3.5 km (12:51 / km)

Autumn series event starting from Little Bendigo school. Was slow but doing well up until control 8. Navigated to what I thought was the correct gully, looked down it and did not see a control. Confused I stumbled on, fell head first down an embankment. By the time I had scrabbled out I found I had lost my SI stick. 15min fruitless search and I gave up. On the way back I visited the gully I had earlier looked down and there was the control. I dont think I would have seen it then except someone had reached down into a hole and punched it. Walked back in a sulk. Had passed 6 people on my course up until that point. GRRRR

Have had a very sore calf and little training done is the last 4 Weeks. MTB ride today. out along the single track from home. Calf feeling OK.
